Vortrex is a southern Minnesota based early-stage company focused on developing a new highly flexible all electric utility work vehicle to disrupt the current utility terrain vehicle (UTV) and small truck markets.

Mike has a history of success in technical leadership for high technology products from infancy to mass production. Over the years, Mike has consistently invented and secured 12 patents through various programs. Mike spent 25 years leading Research and Development Teams in Software-Defined-Radio industries. Contributions leading to product portfolio sales greater than $250M.

Mike also spent considerable time in Program Management, gaining valuable experience driving and managing programs to customer requirements and corporate objectives.

Mike is often defined as a leader and team player in end-to-end cross functional settings from concept to customer interface and support.

Mike’s cumulative expertise is crucial to the development of advanced IoT and Software-Defined-Vehicle systems, core to Vortrex future success. To Vortrex, the next generation of electric track utility vehicle is “all about the software”.

Todd is an executive leader with broad based experience in large and start-up technology companies. Early on in his career Todd helped ADC Telecommunications grow from $40M to $3B through various positions in sales, product management, marketing, business development and executive management. Todd then moved on to be President of Comtech International, a start-up in the in-building wireless solutions space. Todd later joined Vixar Inc, a vertical cavity laser start-up company, as the EVP of Business Development. There he refocused the company, grew the revenue and positioned the company for acquisition.

Todd’s entrepreneurial experience in advanced technology has him uniquely qualified to help build Vortrex into a success story for the Team and the communities it serves.

Tim’s technology experience and overall background will allow Vortrex to create and implement an advanced technology ETUV roadmap that enables higher productivity, respect the environment, manage the costs while keeping people safe.

Tim received his PhD in Electrical Engineering from Stanford University. Went on to be a Senior Staff Engineer at Intel Corporation. Spent considerable time as an influential Freelance Marketing Consultant. Founded two Search & Rescue NPOs Colorado Mounted Rescue and Upper San Juan Search and Rescue.

Tim is well qualified to drive and develop high technology digital interfaces for the Software-Controlled-Vehicles in the next generation electric track utility vehicles.
